What a bumper episode it was last week folks! Sometimes, before Terri and I sit down to record, we wonder what we can possibly talk about for 45 minutes that will be interesting and entertaining. The true joy of making this podcast is that we always do manage to come up with things to talk about – whether they are interesting or entertaining is up to you, dear reader.
This was not an issue for Episode 27, which I think might have just taken the title for longest episode to date! OK, I stand corrected. Our 21st episode has been our longest (completely understandably), BUT this episode just felt so full thanks to the incredible Melbourne drinking places we each visited.
Exploring South Melbourne’s drinking scene renewed my enthusiasm for going out for a drink in our beautiful city, an activity that so easily falls to the side as winter well and truly sets in. Just as ordering Uber eats for the third time in one week feels so easy, relying on your little stash or your local bottle shop is the safe and comforting option. But it can get a little … stale.
So, to offer some inspiration for the rest of you to get out the door and take yourself on a little booze journey during the coming weeks, here are a few of our all-time favourite Melbourne drinking spots:
Smithward (Collingwood)
City Wine Shop (Melbourne CBD)
The Alps (Prahran)
Noisy Ritual (Brunswick East)
